Annelies Scheepbouwer obtained her Masters degree in Law at the University of Amsterdam in 2010.
After qualifying, she worked several years as a lawyer for Baker & McKenzie. In this capacity she advised and guided clients in international mergers and acquisitions and as such she became familiar with commercial relationships and communications between legal entities, shareholders, managers and other stakeholders. Also, Annelies has a vast experience in Dutch employment law and commercial contracts.
Annelies joined ReulingSchutte in 2016 as a MfN Registered Mediator.
As a business mediator, her experience covers a diverse range of employment and corporate issues mostly for privately held and listed companies as well as family businesses, having gained extensive experience in a variety of sectors such as commercial, financial-, retail-, professional- and production companies. In addition, Annelies has ample experience in doing internal investigations within corporate entities. Since 2019, she’s the chairman of the independent complaint committee (‘ongewenste omgangsvormen’) at Jacobs Douwe Egberts.
In addition to her work as a mediator, Annelies works for a family office where she is responsible for the financial and legal matters and co-managing the investment portfolio. In this capacity, she also holds two non-executive positions with tech investments.
Annelies has successfully completed several courses at the Harvard Law School Negotiation Institute and is a member of the Dutch Society for Business Mediations (ZAM).
